It isn’t just in the
current climate that we need to be looking at our investments
and their return, but we should be trying to increase the value
of them at all times. This applies to our coaching investments
as much as any others.
At Delta Partnership,
our approach to coaching ensures all our clients optimise their
investment. This isn’t new, we‘ve always done it – it’s one of
our foundation ideas. We work with our clients to increase the
value of their coaching by recognising that:
- Coaching conversations, collectively, access insights and
trends in the organisation via its leadership on a continuing
basis.
- These insights and trends can be harnessed for true organisational
learning without crossing lines of confidentiality
- The value gained from coaching interventions and support should
be greater than the aggregate value of those individual 1:1
relationships.
Delta’s proven approach
- Systemic Coaching delivers the full value of
collective coaching efforts and investment.

Accelerating the development of less
experienced staff is critical to business performance. This is
particularly relevant in a wide array of technical jobs and industries,
where we often call on more experienced professionals and leaders
to pass on their technical skills and knowledge.
Over recent months we
have worked with several clients to build their senior professionals'
capabilities in effective coaching and skills transfer techniques.
The Developing Technical
Coaching programme is the result of our work with these clients.
In a recent webcast
Stuart Pidgeon explains the benefits and how the programme works.

Over the last few years
Ken Ideus and Kate Cowie have been writing a book - ‘Finding
Merlin’ and it is now nearing completion. There has been
a surge of research and interest in understanding the development
of the human mind – emotionally, cognitively and psychologically
and Ken and Kate have been working to keep their approach
integral, balanced and in line with current discovery.

If you are familiar
with the folklore surrounding Merlin, you may have discovered
that he symbolises the help and guidance that is available, all
around us. One moment he might show up as an old beggar, the
next as a young aristocrat and in one account, even as a dragonfly.
When we open ourselves up to possibility, help can come in any
number of forms, especially from people we may have not considered.
Or, help might come from a book, a news story, a song, a film,
a painting - the possibilities are endless.
We are looking for Finding
Merlin stories to include in our book and would like to hear
yours. Please don’t judge your stories as “not unique”
or “not interesting” enough. Some of the best stories
are from normal daily life.
