The need for authenticity and trust
in leaders has always been important – in recent months the spotlight
on this issue has been intensified. To experience what authenticity
really means and how you can become more authentic yourself, we
are holding a one day event at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios,
at the beginning of June, to introduce you to the Leader’s Voice®,
our unique leadership development programme.
During the day you will learn about
the Leader’s Voice® concepts and experience some of the benefits
for yourself. To find out more or to book your place please call
Marion Pidgeon on +44 (0)1932 829730 or email enquiries@delta-partnership.com.

Due to the nature of the studio environment spaces are strictly limited.
The cost for the day is £275 (ex VAT).

HR budgets slashed or frozen, development on hold, busy schedule but coaching still critical for you?
With the pressures of the credit crunch in mind, we have developed a new coaching offer to address these problems. We have come up with a flexible solution which is relatively low cost, and delivers high quality coaching from experienced coaches, when it suits you.
The solution is short and sharp; commencing with a face-to-face meeting followed by 3 half hour telephone sessions which can fit in with the individual's schedule - it doesn't have to be done in office hours! The benefits? Flexibility, low cost, high quality and potentially faster results!
For further information on how this works, please contact Marion Pidgeon on +44 (0)1932 829730 or email marionp@delta-partnership.com.

Management
Tutors discovering new ways
of learning
For those of you who
saw our e-zine in July, you’ll recall that Ken Ideus and Peter
Curran are involved in a capacity building project for Southern
Sudan, through the NGO – Skills for Southern Sudan. You might
say things have gone from good to great!
The delivery framework
and the management and leadership curriculum for public servants
have now been endorsed by the President and the Council of Ministers.
In March of this year, the Vice President of Southern Sudan gave
the keynote speech at the launch event and formally endorsed the
project. The project is now being spoken of as the most comprehensive
capability building effort in Southern Sudan since the peace agreement
was signed in 2004.
In a manner consistent
with Delta Partnership’s ethos of transferring capability, the
project is now being led by 5 senior Sudanese Trainer/Tutors and
the courses will be delivered by 55 Management Tutors, all Southern
Sudanese, delivering through a network that covers all 10 states
in this geographically and politically challenging environment.
The goal is now to train 6000 civil servants over the next 2 years
in subjects running from good governance and ethics to basic office
and management practices.
Meanwhile the Internet
project, privately financed by members of the Delta Partnership
is now a thriving business in Yambio, Western Equatoria.

We are living through an event that has not happened before in most of our lifetimes. The last full global crisis, World War II, occurred over 60 years ago. True, this is a different kind of crisis but it is dramatically affecting billions of people. The root of this problem goes down deep in the foundations of how our systems, and thus our leaders and managers worked.
What this means for leadership, is still being discovered. While doing that discovery, we still have people to motivate and businesses to run. This June, Delta Partnership will be hosting a breakfast for managers in business and other organisations to work three topics:
- Coping and growing in difficult times: these are related but separate issues
- Strategies for dealing with worst fears: the coffee area, if the machine is still plugged in, is buzzing with the comments of worried employees
- Tapping the knowledge and experience around us: human beings are ingenious at surviving and thriving. While we’ve not been here before, through the right conversations, we’ll develop strategies for not only coping, but growing through this.
For more information on this event and to register your interest contact Cathy Ellis at cathye@delta-partnership.com or call +44 (0)1932 864489.

Ken is running
his first marathon in 20 years in support of SCOPE, the UK charity
focused on aiding those with Cerebral Palsey and he would really
appreciate if you would sponsor him, as this will spur him on
to a good run - and all the proceeds go to a great cause. Sponsoring
is easy, just log on to: www.justgiving.com/kenideus
