Shadow Coaching turns conventional coaching on its head and gives leaders genuinely new insights. It creates an internal sustainable coaching resource and underpins succession planning and junior management development.
It’s
a simple idea. Shadow Coaching pairs junior and
developing managers (the “shadow coaches”) with
other professional staff and senior leaders who
they observe at key meetings and events. The shadow
coaches provide real-time upward feedback and
in turn are given learning and development experiences
which cut across hierarchies and organisational
borders. Organisations using Shadow Coaching find
that it transforms relationships, culture, leadership
behaviour and even organisational frameworks.
Managers who have no coaching experience come
out of the programme with coaching skills which
they can apply in day-to-day management or as
internal consultants
